MO House Fire Kills 2 Children, 1 Man



Three people were killed during a house fire in Chaffee, Missouri, early Wednesday morning. Two-year-old Bryton Nicholson, three-year-old Jaden Nicholson, and 21-year-old Andrew Biler, the uncle of the two young boys, died of smoke inhalation, according to reports from KFVS 12 News.

KFVS Reported:

"The state Fire Marshall is investigating. Although, an official cause of the fire has not been determined, the Chaffee fire chief says it appears the fire started in a back bedroom and spread through the house. No foul play is suspected at this time."

TX Mobile Home Fire Kills 3 Children, 1 Adult

A mobile home fire in Conroe, Texas killed three children and one adult at approximately 2:41 a.m. Sunday morning. Five engines and a ladder company responded to the incident finding the mobile home totally engulfed in fire. The first firefighters to respond to the scene were approached by three injured people outside and advised that more people were inside the mobile home, according to reports from CNN.

The report continued to explain details of the incident:

"Two children between the ages of 3 and 8 were pulled out of a bedroom that was not involved in the fire but had heavy smoke. They could not be revived, Kreger said. Firefighters found another child between 3 and 8 and a woman, believed to be about 27years old, dead in another area."

Fire Kills Family in Utica, NY

A mother and three young children were killed in a Utica, NY duplex:

In Utica, N.Y., yesterday, a fire in a duplex house killed a mother and her three young children, and witnesses heard banging on the walls as fire tore through the home. The children were ages 1, 2, and 4 years old, Utica Fire Chief Russell Brooks said. The victims’ names were not released.

Fire investigators say preliminary information indicates the fire started on the first floor, spread throughout the entire first floor, and then went up the front stairwell to the bedrooms where the victims were located. The cause was not known.

House Fire Kills One Adult, One Child in CA

Two people were killed, one adult and one child, during a house fire in Sacramento, California . Firefighters arrived on scene to find the home fully engulfed and did not realize that two individuals were inside. Fire crews recovered the bodies from the house located in North Highlands, according to reports from NBC affiliate KCRA 3 in Sacramento. See the KCRA report HERE.

3 Children Die in Chicago (IL) Fire

From the Chicago Tribune:
Three children were killed early this morning in a house fire in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side that was caused by one of them playing with a lighter, fire officials said.

Two boys were rescued and taken to Comer Children's Hospital, but were pronounced dead there. The body of a girl was found on the first floor of the house, according to the Fire Department.

According to the report, the children's father tried to put out the fire himself but it spread too quickly. Other tenants escaped only to realize the three were still inside. Two police officers suffered smoke inhalation during the incident.
