Firefighters said they responded to a call for help at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and were set upon by young people as an apartment in the complex where their party was going on went up in flames.

One woman, reportedly trapped on a second floor as the flames spread, jumped into a snow bank to escape the fire. When a firefighter went to help her, he was reportedly attacked by party goers who threw beer cans, water bottles, hard-packed snowballs - and a fire extinguisher.

  1. Please send these miscreant attackers up our way to northern MN - we know what to do with them.

  2. When did we turn the control of our town over to 17 year olds? Where is the responsibility of these ski camps? They will soon lose their welcome if they cannot control their students.

  3. Wow you people have no idea what you are fucking talking about. No one was attacked during the fire. The single volunteer did not do anything to help Courtney who was stuck in the snow next to the blaze it was one of my friends who risked his life to save her. And the people who started the fire did not live there. This just pisses me off that the media is trying to hype a story instead of focusing on what really matters, a bunch of people including myself lost their homes and a lot of their stuff.
